Project Arachnid is a 3D 3rd-person spaceship stealth game. The protagonist pilots a spider-shaped spaceship which has the maneuverability of a spider as well as its own version of webbing. In the ring-shaped debris field surrounding the planet Quarax, the protagonist uses this ship to sneakily steal data from passing ships. The game starts when a mishap leaves you in a sticky situation, with a dozen or so enemy ships searching for them. The player must sneak by, or trap enemy ships while attempting to get to an important objective.

As the sole 3D artist and animator within a team of seven, my role encompassed a wide array of responsibilities to bring our game to life. Collaborating closely with our concept artist, I translated their vision into tangible assets by meticulously crafting various characters (ships), props, and environments. These assets were then seamlessly integrated into Unreal Engine, providing our level designer with the building blocks needed to shape the game's immersive world.
In addition to asset creation, I undertook the task of animating the protagonist, infusing life and personality into our spidership character through dynamic movements and idle animations. Beyond animation, I also played a pivotal role in shaping the overall aesthetics of the game, ensuring that every visual element cohesively contributed to the game's immersive experience. Through meticulous attention to detail and a passion for visual storytelling, I strived to elevate our game to new heights of artistic excellence.
